Our copper drink wares are to be used only with still water. You can store any type of still water in your copper container – filtered water, bottled water or even tap water. You will probably notice the greatest difference with tap water, which is generally the least alkaline and in need of the most care. Sparkling or carbonated water, acidic beverages or any flavourings like lemon slices, mint leaves etc. are not to be used with the copper products.

Our entire Copper Ware Range are made of 99.5% pure copper. Each product is shaped from a single sheet of pure copper with no joints or seams and capped with a leak-proof lid, also made of pure copper. We do not use any heavy metals or aluminum in the production process. Besides, our bottles are tested for their copper purity. The outer layer of the bottles and glasses is coated with food grade lacquer. It is a protective covering that prevents tarnishing and discolouring and makes them shine. From the inside, these are kept completely raw, unprocessed and uncoated.

Our Copper Drink Wares are suitable only for still water. Copper, just like any other precious metal, may react with acidic liquids (anything with a pH of less than 7) or milk-based fluids. If you want to flavour your water, you can gladly add the flavourings to another glass once the copper water has been poured from the copper container.

To get the full benefits of copper-enriched water, Ayurveda recommends filling up your copper bottle or glass the night before and start the day by drinking a cup in the morning to cleanse and detoxify your body. The optimal storage time according to ancient practices is 8-12 hours, whereby the copper value in the water increases steadily. Do not store the water longer than 12 hrs. Alternatively, you can also immediately drink from your copper product after pouring into it, just like your usual drinkware.

Copper reacts negatively with the acid content of beverages like tea or coffee. Besides, copper is a soft, conducting metal, which can heat up very fast and possibly lead to deformation. Hence, only still water is to be used with our copper bottles; preferably at room temperature. In case of hot water, please make sure that the water is not boiling hot.

Copper acts anti-bacterial and contains self-sterilizing properties. Thus, you need not was wash your water bottle, glass, dispenser every day. We recommend cleaning your Drink Wares about once a week if you use it regularly. When not in use, do not store water and keep it dry.

The outer surface of Copper Drink Ware has been coated with food grade lacquer which protects it from oxidization and discoloring. You do not need to clean your bottle or glass from outside as it will only rub off the lacquer over time. However, you may use foam to gently clean the outer surface. Please do not use any chemical, detergent, scrubber to clean outer surface of Copper items.

It’s easy! Squeeze half a lemon and a tablespoon of salt into the bottle and add 1-2 cups of warm water, leave it for 10-15 minutes. Shake the bottle and pour the liquid out and rinse with clean water 2-3 times.

We do not recommend cleaning your copper drink wares in the dishwasher. The outer lacquer may rub off, taking away the classic copper shine. The outer lacquer protects bottles and glasses from discolouring and oxidation.

We recommend cleaning your new copper bottle or glass thoroughly before their first use. Simply rinse with warm water and mild soap or salt water from within.
